Randall Dale, the little son of Mr. & Mrs. Delno
Stansfield, of Annapolis, Ill. fatally scalded on Monday morning.
The mother was washinging and placed a kettle of boiling water on
the floor, not knowing the child was near. The little fellow sat
down in the kettle, literally cooking the flesh of the upper part
of the lower limbs and the lower part of the body. He lingered
until Friday noon but mercifully was unconscious momst of the
time. He was two years old on the day of the accident and an
unusually bright little fellow. Mrs. Stansfield was formerly Miss
Edith Brown. Mrs. Frank Brown and Mrs. Ira Sharp went over on
Friday. Mrs. Brown returned on Monday, but Mrs. Sharp will remain
for a few days.
